A lady named Linguere arrives from Europe in a Senegalese village, from which she fled in her youth with a child in her womb. She has grown old, but has become “as rich as the World Bank” and is now ready to give all her possessions to her fellow villagers if they kill her former lover, who had once abandoned her.
