Urban Communities

Our goal is to make GES-2 an open platform for collective cooperation and for positive social interactions. Our interactions with urban communities are envisaged as permanent and strong ties between the House of Culture and the local community, fostering local creativity both within GES-2 and beyond.

The programme has two areas of focus. On the one hand, it carries out joint projects with the city’s existing cultural and public organizations and/or their audiences, as well as with local grassroots organisations. On the other, it supports a variety of activities that will turn the House of Culture’s indoor zones and outdoor areas into comfortable leisure environments for residents and visitors, providing space for everything from board games and wellness classes to neighbourhood tea parties and street festivals.
