GOST ZVUK, one of Russia’s leading electronic labels, has been shaping the local scene’s sound since 2014. Over more than a decade of active work, a broad community of musicians and listeners has formed around the label.
GOST’s ever-evolving sound encompasses house, dub, techno, ambient, and instrumental hip-hop. From its inception, GOST ZVUK has aimed to make local artists’ works visible and notable both within Russia and internationally. The label unites artists working at the intersection of electronic music, art, and technology, creating a unique sonic environment. This is not merely music, but a reflection of cultural context, urban landscapes, and digital identity. The label’s records can be found in iconic record stores and collections worldwide, underlining its international recognition and significance. However, this recognition stems from the processing and reinterpretation of local context and presence in Russian reality.
The programme features electronic live sets, acoustic performances by live bands, and audiovisual and electroacoustic performances. The showcase structure, order, and synchronisation of performances are deliberately designed to initiate dialogue between two scenes, encouraging listeners to move between them and form their personal sonic impression of the event.
For this showcase programme, the curators have focused on live performances and original music. Playhouse and 3 Floor Classrooms will serve as venues. The line-up features both label veterans and emerging artists whose work and artistic vision align with GOST’s aesthetic.
