Ulrich Köhler’s film explores a society mired in a total inability to listen to one another. In the world of contemporary culture, the director sees a minefield of good intentions, where everyone is always on the brink of becoming a laughing stock. As Köhler captures more and more facets of the absurd, he does not mock anyone, but sympathises with all of us who have cut ourselves off from one another with barriers of disagreement.
