Researching the Deaf Community: 2. AlmanacPublications are a major focus of the Researching the Deaf Community project. Their primary goal is to convey academic knowledge to a wider audience.

Releasing edited volumes and brochures makes research results accessible not only to a narrow circle of specialists, but also to anyone interested in the lives and culture of Deaf people. In doing so, these publications contribute directly to the development of Deaf Studies—an academic discipline new to Russia.
The regular almanac is dedicated to various topics within the study of the Deaf community. It brings together the work of the RDC Lab, materials from the interdisciplinary conference of the same name, as well as expert opinions and reflections.
In addition to the almanac, brochures are published detailing the findings of the RDC Lab’s research expeditions to various cities. During these trips, project participants connect with local Deaf communities, share their work, conduct interviews with residents, and study regional cultural differences and variations in sign language.
