After the landing of aliens, Earth gradually became extinct. The only survivors are the astronauts who were in orbit at the time of colonisation, and now they are searching for salvation and a new home among the stars. To depict the cosmos, the director uses archival NASA footage and images taken under the ice of Antarctica. As a result, the documentary is saturated with fiction and starts generating a surprising and unique fantasy of possible future scenarios.

The images are there not merely to illustrate, but to provoke the viewer’s imagination to fill in the blanks, a trick that makes this a much more involving experience than were it played “straight”.
