Memory and time are key themes in the novels and memoirs of Annie Ernaux, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2022. Both take shape in the frames of the film she created with her son David. The film chronicles the family life of the young Ernaux, her husband and two children in the 1970s. The heroine’s writing career is about to go uphill, contrary to her marriage.
