This tour focuses on the history of history of GES-2 and its transformation into a cultural institution and urban space, where creative interaction between professionals and enthusiasts plays a central part in all events.

Tour participants will learn about the history and projects of the V–A–C foundation, the architecture of the former power station and the principles for building reconstruction, and what GES-2 has in common with Cedric Price’s Fun Palace, National Houses of the pre-revolutionary mission and Houses of Culture of the 1920s. There will also be a discussion about the main spaces of GES-2 and current programmes.

The walk can follow a variety of different routes: the mediator and participants select the points and discussion topics in a free and equal dialogue, with emphasis on certain details depending on the group’s interests.
