Mediation Guidelines

Below are the guidelines we kindly ask visitors to observe during mediated tours, ensuring an engaging and comfortable experience for all participants.

T

Our Principles

Equal Dialogue
The effectiveness of guided discussions depends on both the mediator and the participants. Tour discussions are based on personal experience, opinions, and individual perceptions.

Group Introduction
At the beginning of the tour, the mediator may invite participants to introduce themselves and share their interests, visiting objectives, and views on contemporary culture.

Exchange of Experience and Views
When discussing exhibitions or architecture, the mediator poses questions to encourage the exchange of observations and impressions.

Types of Mediated Tours

Free Tours by Prior Registration
Visitors may select and register free of charge for mediated tours via the GES-2 House of Culture website. Please note that tours accommodate groups of 8–10 people.

Private Mediated Tours
These tours offer a personalised format between the mediator and organised visitor groups within GES-2 House of Culture. You may pre-select the time, theme, and format of the tour to enjoy with friends, family, or colleagues. Private tours require ticket purchase.

Tour Participation Guidelines

We value each other’s opinions and maintain respectful dialogue based on the following principles:

— Statements that demean minority groups, promote intolerance, discrimination, or incite violence are not permitted.

— Comments evaluating personal qualities, competence, or social status of the mediator or participants are not permitted.

— Insults, provocations of conflict, or disrespectful behaviour towards the mediator’s or other participants’ viewpoints are not permitted.

— Questions to the mediator must adhere to ethical communication standards.

— The mediator may decline to answer questions that could breach professional guidelines or confidential information.

— The mediator may decline participation in amateur photography/videography or social media publications.

— Violation of GES-2 House of Culture visiting regulations is not permitted.

— Should these guidelines be breached, the mediator may issue a verbal warning or request the participant to leave the group. If the participant refuses, the mediator is authorised to request security assistance.
