What if you’ve always dreamed of working in radio? Sitting in a studio surrounded by a sea of buttons, flashing lights, CDs, and vinyl. The freedom to choose your favourite music, hosting your own show, reaching thousands of listeners across the globe. And what if you aren’t just on your own, but have a co-host, a loyal friend and partner with whom you share the airwaves? Together, you’re the stars of the show, masters of catchphrases, jingles, and sweeps—practically Vasily Strelnikov and his Weekend Caprice on MTV. Your banter could rival that of Howard Stern and Robin Quivers, and your visionary knack for spotting talent is on par with the BBC’s John Peel—the legendary DJ who launched the careers of David Bowie, Joy Division, and Pink Floyd.

What if these dreams all came true, only for your station to be shut down one day, making it the Last Day of Radio? Borrowing the title of the famous play and film by Kvartet I, this year’s showcase is built around a mythical radio station on its final day on air. This live music marathon, put together by the GES-2: Sound curatorial team and Shabash Records, will bring together diverse genres under a single banner: “These are our final hours of broadcasting. We have nothing to lose. We want to live on in the hearts of our listeners for years and years to come.”

The lineup features nominees for The Blueprint 100 —2026: the genre-defying acts Dva Obreza and Razmakha (performing with a special, exclusive live band), alongside OBNX SKA SCKANKERS (a project by Vanya Ivan from the group Lenina Paket) and Tremakasi (an eclectic instrumental quintet from the Urals).

Playing the roles of the radio hosts are stage favourites Ilya Ozolin and Fedya Bychkov.

Shabash Records is a Yekaterinburg-based label founded in 2016 by producer and artist Tyoma Klmou (Kill Em All). The label’s roster consists of Tyoma’s friends and family (for instance, Kircash is his nephew). Shabash Records is built on a foundation of genre-fluidity and experimentation.

Razmakha Live Band is an exclusive live performance from a prominent heavy hitter of female hip-hop. She fearlessly blends genres and pays homage to iconoclastic artists across different eras, from Russian rap to Yanka Dyagileva. Originally from Yekaterinburg and now based in Moscow, Razmakha is part of the Shabash Records collective and the band Okurki Tem. She also DJs under the moniker Muas. Her music is a distinctive, high-energy experimental rap that weaves together boom-bap, reggae, and new wave. Her discography comfortably accommodates covers of NII Kosmetiki and Zvuki Mu alongside collaborations with Kedr Livansky and samples of 2010s hits. Alongside her solo shows and numerous festival appearances, over the past year, Razmakha performed as a key act at the Cosmoscow contemporary art fair party and was nominated for The Blueprint 100 — 2026 award. For the GES-2: Sound showcase at the House of Culture, Razmakha will perform with a full live band for the first time, bringing new depth to her familiar arrangements and offering listeners a completely fresh experience.

Dva Obreza is a wild live project fronted by Tyoma Klmou, the founder of Shabash Records. Starting out as a chaotic hip-hop outfit with Tyoma’s nephew Kircash—which included a performance at the Just Forfunov Music Festival at GES-2—the group has since evolved. Alongside his partner Yulia Solntseva, Tyoma has turned the band into a boundary-pushing, genre-hopping musical road movie. In recent years, they have dabbled in everything from club-heavy acid house and electro-industrial to synth-pop/art-pop reminiscent of early Auktyon, funk, and bossa nova. What other band on the contemporary scene can boast a collaboration with Petar Martic alongside covers of Kolibri and Talking Heads? Like Razmakha, Dva Obreza are nominees for The Blueprint 100 — 2026. For the GES-2: Sound showcase at the House of Culture, Dva Obreza will perform with live musicians, delivering a curated selection of their best tracks to guide the audience to an unexpected destination known only to Tyoma and Yulia.

OBNX SKA SCKANKERS mark a rare Moscow appearance for the band led by Vanya Ivan, a member of Lenina Paket, the cult Obninsk collective of Russian underground hip-hop. Continuing their satirical commentary layered with Soviet cultural references and the aesthetics of ska and punk, OBNX SKA SCKANKERS offer a carnival of genres and spoken-word poetry. As the band members write of themselves: “The foundation of our sound consists of programmed drums from a laptop, bass guitar, electric organ, synth, trumpet, and vocals. We often weave in extra brass and vocal samples. Guitars are strictly forbidden. Backing vocalists can be practically anyone. They are from Obninsk.” Beyond this wonderfully straightforward and comprehensive self-portrait, we have only one detail to add: one of the band members even named his dog Sckanker in honour of the group.

Tremakasi are special guests hailing from Yekaterinburg. They perform an eclectic blend of funk, jazz, surf, rock, hip-hop, and “basically anything with a groove,” to quote the band themselves. Their instrumental improvisation focuses on cultural dialogue, blending musical styles and borrowing from the traditional aesthetics of Eastern and African countries. Tremakasis live set will kick off the performance marathon at the GES-2 House of Culture showcase.

Ilya Ozolin is a stand-up comedian, actor, and musician. A prominent figure in underground comedy, he has featured on the shows Open Mic and 22 Comedians. He played the lead role in the biographical film Lermontov, as well as in Oleg Glushkov’s play The Cherry Dream at the a39 Theatre.

Fedya Bychkov is a theatre and film actor, and musician. A graduate of the Yury Butusov workshop, he is a member of the independent performance art community anderu’poklon. He is known for his roles in the projects Children of Change and Space Dog Lida, and has been cast in productions directed by Alexander Zolotovitsky and Alexander Gorchilin.
