A medieval village lives by a strict, centuries-old order. The time has come to get married for the Fisherwoman—a lame old maid shunned by the whole village. Bypassing the elders, she goes to the Basket Weaver and asks him to make her a husband out of wicker. Thus, the perfect life partner appears—albeit with a couple of caveats.

Still from Wicker, 2026

A feisty feminist fable that thrums and sings to the beat of its own drum.

— Katie Walsh, The Spokesman Review

In one of the most original film premieres of the year, it is worth specifically noting the exquisite work on the costumes and sound design: from the piercing music to the rustles and whispers.
