A century-old ginkgo tree grows on the campus of Marburg University. In 1908, the first female student hid in its shade from the mockery of her teachers. In the 1970s, biology students in love, on the verge of a scientific discovery, met here. In 2020, a Hong Kong neurosurgeon thinks about a French woman studying communication between plants.
