What do we imagine the future of mediation to be? What effect can the practice have in social and cultural contexts? What sustainable development strategies can mediation offer in planning visitor experience or contemporary museum education? How is mediation interpreted in academic research?

The first forum How to Work Together? Mediation in the Context of Contemporary Cultural Practices focused on issues of building a professional community of mediators, the current state of the practice, and a discussion of tools for creating and conducting different mediation formats.
In April 2026,
We propose to study familiar methodologies, values, development strategies and design approaches in the context of cultural institutions, contemporary technologies, and the humanities, and to discuss how mediation is already changing and shaping contemporary culture.
The forum welcomes professionals working in the field of cultural practice: mediators, museum educators, education specialists, curators of exhibitions and public programmes, accessibility and inclusions experts, as well as researchers—sociologists, museologists, and cultural theorists.
