In reality, her family soon emigrates from Korea to the USA, and she won’t see her first love until 24 years later, when she will have changed her name to Nora, gotten married and become a moderately successful writer. The two meet, and the life they could have spent together sparks so bright that almost burns them both, as well as Nora’s husband.
