What makes a sound wave fluctuate? What can you hear if you listen attentively to the world around you? Does silence exist? Participants of the tour at GES-2 House of Culture will immerse themselves in the study of sounds that surround us every day. During the discussion, experiments and exercises, participants will discuss the purring of cats, the whistling of the wind and other interesting phenomena from a scientific standpoint.

The content of the lesson varies for different ages. Junior pupils learn what sound waves are, and study the possibilities of our own voice and body. With older participants, we listen to the urban environment and discuss what sound landscapes are.

The lesson materials were prepared in accordance with Federal state educational standards, and can supplement the curriculum for art history, social studies and physics.
